Artist María Gimeno (Zamora, 1970), collaborating with Justin Randolph Thomas, pondered the passage of time in Unwoven/Destejido an initiative developed in Grassy Gran Via 1. For more than two hours Gimeno unravelled a crochet piece from around the shop columns, above Grassy's clock museum. Action began after a few minutes observation. Gimeno pulled the thread while Justin strummed on his guitar reinterpreting “ The Captain hollers hurry, I take my time, he’s making money and I’m making time”. The piece unravelled little by little, the woven words disappeared while Gimeno threw out the questions: “Am I going back in time?” “Am I losing my time?” The woolen piece was getting smaller and the ball of wool was growing and becoming heavier.
