Eugenio Ampudia

Fuego Frío (Cold fire) was an installation for the Gran Via 1 building facade by Eugenio Ampudia (Melgar, Valladolid, 1958). Executed in collaboration with Max Estrella art gallery. The intervention took place on the 2nd of December 2009 during an opening party for the Rolex Rotunda. Virtually simulating the building on fire, inspired on a Futurist Manifesto by Marinetti which read “let us burn the libraries (...)because the ashes shall be the fertilizer for the new seeds.” Photo by: Pedro Martinez Albornoz.
